The article COSCUP 2006 made me into trouble. Many people criticized my attitude. I think it's not because there's criticism about some parts of the conference, but the words and sentences I used. I forgot to use euphemism and words in a more polite way. It means I didn't think much enough before saying something or posting something. I hope the misunderstanding won't last too long, and I hope next time, I can think more before doing it.

A Lesson From PageOne
I went to Computex Taipei 2006 with rin1999 today, and before we went back to school, we went to PageOne and Eslite bookstores. I bought 3 books at PageOne, two are in Simplified Chinese, and the other is Harry Potter 6. The price of Harry Potter is 439 NTD, and the original price is 7.99 GBP. Because the currency conversion is favorable for me, I picked it up. But when I found the price at Eslite is 100+ NTD lower, I was about to be crazy. Why did I not check the price on the internet first? The excess money could bring me a delicious meal. Originally, I'd like to go back and exchange it with another book, but I was too tired to walk back. Fine, it did give me a lesson.
Goodbye, Meepok! @ Royal Host
Meepok is going to go back to Malaysia in this week. I thought we, the partners of the Chinese Music Club, might have a dinner before she goes back. So I invited Kentu, Cloudyday, Sasimi at last Saturday night.
The meal was great, and we talked a lot. I was so thankful that we could get together again. On the bad side, this may be the last time we can get together in our lives.
Wish Meepok could find her new job and be with her boyfriend smoothly.
My First Venipuncture
This week I was in Department of Pathology. We had to do venipuncture and blood sampling on real patients. This is my first time to do this.
I was a little nervous when I stood behind the technician watching, but I felt relaxed after a successful puncture. "It's not as hard as I thought." I murmured. But luckiness was not always with me. I failed on the 4th patient. Thanks to the technician. She took over the needle and didn't make the patient angry about my fault. I didn't feel much depressed. I knew before I become skilled, I must experience a lot of failure.
On Tuesday, I totally punctured about 15 to 20 patients. Tomorrow I will have another chance. Hope I could do better. This is a good news for both the patient and I. :p
Unbelievable! 1000m Front Crawl
It's very unbelievable. Two weeks ago, I couldn't swim using front crawl more than 50m, but today I extended the distance to 1000m. I did it!
When I had learned swimming in my childhood, I didn't like front crawl because it made me exhausted and out of breath. I easily got tired even I tried to relax more under the water. But last week, I suddenly found I was not so tired as before. I broke through 100m easily, and on the second round, I tried 400m and succeed. Today, after a 300m breaststroke warm-up, I tried 1000m. Yeah, it's not as difficult as I thought before.
Although my speed was very slow, a girl beside went 1.5 fold faster, I didn't care very much. I have progressed. I believe I can swim as fast as her if I keep practicing. Maybe someday I can cross Sun Moon Lake with front crawl.
But I got a new problem. The water always goes into my nostrils and makes me allergic. Hmm… I must find some methods to prevent this.
